Begin by pulling out the blender and sauce pan.
measure out 1 cup of the milk and pour it into the blender.
Add the pumpkin puree to the milk and blend until smooth. This takes approximately 15 to 20 seconds. You can always blend for longer if you would like.
Pour the mixture into the sauce pan and turn the stove top on low heat.
Add the chocolate, honey and vanilla extract to the pan and then add the spices. Make sure to add the cayenne, and nutmeg with a very small pinch.
Stir with a whisk occasionally as you add the spices. Make sure the pot does not boil, you just want the chocolate to melt, the spices to blend in, and everything to warm up.
Do a small taste test and then add up to a half cup more of the milk and pumpkin puree blend if the texture feels to thick.
If needed, add more cayenne, nutmeg, and salt if need. Make sure to add these only in very small pinches and they will drastically change the flavor very quickly.
Once you have added the extra ingredients, just keep the stove on until the liquid is heated to the temperature you would like.
Pour the drink into the cup and add a dollop of whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon on top.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
