Spicy Popcorn
This spicy popcorn is a great snack for movie night. This simple recipe has a special place in my heart as I grew up with my mom making this frequently for family nights,
special occasions, or random cozy nights. The crunchy popcorn mixed with the chewy candy is perfect for satisfying several cravings at once. The fun thing
about this recipe is that you can switch it up however you like but I personally have found that this way has matched well with all the spices.

Spicy Popcorn Microwave Instructions
You can use a popcorn popper or brown paper bags if you don’t have anything fancy. Double up the brown paper bags if you feel they are too thin and pour
the popcorn kernels in. Pour the oil or butter over the popcorn kernels and close the bag. Place the bag into the microwave and heat it for about two
minutes or until the popping seems to slow down a lot.
While it is popping, pour about 1 TBSP of oil or melted butter into the bowl and turn it to coat the bottom and sides of the bowl. Then sprinkle each of the
spices evenly on the bottom and sides of the bowl.
When the popcorn is done, pour it into the bowl and add the candy and any other spice that you would like to add more of.
Place a lid or cover over the bowl and shake it thoroughly to coat the popcorn, adding more oil/butter and spices as necessary. Remove the lid and enjoy!
Don’t forget to use the popcorn to scrape the sides for extra spice.
Spicy popcorn Stove Top Instructions
Place a pot with a lid on the stove and turn it to medium heat. pour 1 TBSP of oil or butter into the pan and add the popcorn kernels.
Place the lid back over the pot and shake the pot about every 10 or 20 seconds. Make sure the lid stays on or popcorn will fly everywhere. Shaking the pot
will coat the kernels with the oil/butter and heat it up so that they will pop evenly.
Once the popcorn looks mostly popped, turn off the heat and remove the pan. I would personally let it sit for a minute to make sure no popcorn wants to
continue to pop and then I would remove the lid and pour the popcorn into a prepared bowl.
While the popcorn is first in the pan or when its cooling off, you can pour 1 TBSP of oil/butter into the bowl and add your spices. Once the popcorn is in the
bowl, add the candy and any extra spices.
Place a lid on the bowl and shake it thoroughly to coat the popcorn. Remove the lid and enjoy!
