Chocolate-covered marshmallows with toppings

Chocolate-covered marshmallows

This chocolate-covered marshmallow recipe is a quick and easy dessert many will love.

There are of course many recipes that you can easily find of covered marshmallows and different toppings, but I wanted to experiment myself with a few toppings I couldn’t find very much of.

After several combo experiments, I found the three toppings I enjoyed the most and that were the biggest hit with my family.

Really, you can add whatever topping you feel to add but these ones were my favorite and were really fixing the cravings.

Chocolate-covered Marshmallows Instructions

Begin by placing wax paper onto the baking sheet.

Space out the marshmallows onto the pan.

I did four to a row.

Place a toothpick in each marshmallow if you want.

Or you can just leave the toothpicks out and cover only some of the marshmallow.

Melt the dark chocolate melting wafers in a microwave safe bowl according to the instructions on the package.

Dip each marshmallow into the chocolate until the surface you want to cover is completely filled.

Immediately sprinkle your topping over the chocolate turning the marshmallow as you go.

Don’t wait too long or the chocolate will harden.

I personally would put just a pinch or two of each topping but you can always go for more or less.

Here are my top three favorite combos I made:

  • Coffee and sea salt (not a lot of salt or it will overpower the coffee)
  • Coffee and cinnamon
  • Cinnamon

The coffee by itself is very good as well but I enjoyed it these three ways a bit more.

Once you have added the toppings, place it back on the pan and leave it.

The chocolate will harden quickly but if you would like you can place the pan in the fridge for a few minutes.

Once all you marshmallows are covered and the chocolate has hardened, you are free to enjoy.

Share with others or keep it all to yourself.
